We have been in business for over fifty years now, starting in North London with shops on the way in Islington, Westbourne Grove (Notting Hill Gate) and Church Street NW8. Then as the business changed and we started to specialise in Victorian dining sets – well moved mainly online – we decided to move to a larger premises in Hertfordshire close to where we live and, of course, without the London prices we could have more room. All the more space to fill it with goodies!
After trying out our Victorian dining sets you can visit St Alban’s which is Hertfordshire’s oldest town and was originally a Roman city called Verulamium on the site of a Catuvellauni settlement. Today you can still visit the Roman ruins. The town is also a beautiful, traditional market town with great eating, drinking and shopping. In fact you can visit Ye Olde Fighting Cock (circa 793) pub in the town, which is said to be the oldest pub in England by the Guinness Book of Records. We always send our American and German clients that way and they always love it and it’s just down the road from our Hertfordshire antiques showroom.
