You are viewing a gorgeous pair of Paris Sevres style porcelain urns adorned with cherubs. Hopefully the photos go some way in conveying the beauty to this wonderful pair, they are certainly better in the flesh.
Each urn features a proffusion of intricate hand painted designs including the main cheurb panels showing two chubby putti in Romantic interplay. There are also hand painted floral sprays with flowers and foliage painstakingly represented by deft brushwork. I hope the photos adequately convey the intricacy to this brushwork, definitely the work of a steady and talented hand.
Also please note the intricate gold leaf painted designs on the urns at all points. Again incredibly detailed as it follows the contours of the urns shape. The urns have removable lids with lattice work to them, which suggests these were pot pourri urns. The lids are surmounted by a gorgeous cherub also hand painted, check out details like his blushed cheeks and cute expression.
