You are viewing an incredible Italian bronze fountain that stands in at over fourteen feet tall – it’s massive. There are two tiers with two bowls. Perhaps the most distinctive feature are the three classical maidens who stand back to back around the central column.
There are of course a whole host of other amazing details and features; the cherubim to the bottom, rams heads, satyr heads to the top, plus a whole manner of other arabesques and decorative designs in the bronze. It’s amazing when you think of how this would have to be cast and put together, a great feat of bronze making.
It would be easy to hook this up to a water source via the tube at the bottom so water would spout from the top and overflow into the bowls. That’s the important thing with this important work of art, trying to visualise it in full glory in the setting of your choice.
The fountain is offered in great condition. We bought it from an architectural salvage firm in North London and will ship to anywhere in the world.
